Margaret here, founder and strategist of Claddagh Creative. 

I can’t believe we’re approaching 2024. When I started this journey almost 4 years ago, I could only picture this time I would have an incredible team, amazing clients and a bloomin’ good time.

However, with a new beginning approaching, it's only natural to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. As the founder of Claddagh Creative, I find myself immersed in a sea of thoughts about the growth, challenges, and exciting opportunities that lie ahead in the coming year.

Setting goals for your business can be an intense process, filled with both excitement and apprehension. Will we achieve what we set out to do? Can we overcome the challenges that undoubtedly await us in the new year? 

These questions can keep even the most seasoned business owner up at night- nevermind sustainable business owners (we’re trying to do really good things, right?!). 

However, if there's one piece of advice I can offer to my fellow entrepreneurs, it's this: Delegate.

When I founded this agency, my mission was clear- to reimagine marketing and assist sustainable and ethical businesses in spreading their positive, incredible, and moving messages. 

However, the realisation dawned upon me that to achieve this mission, I couldn't do it alone. I needed a team- passionate individuals who shared my vision and could bring their creativity to the table.

Finding the right team wasn't an easy task. How do you find people who not only understand your brand but also want to put their heart and soul into it?

It seemed like a challenge. But the thing is, challenges keep it interesting. Over the last couple of years, I assembled a team of incredible writers, designers, social media experts, and more, each of whom loves what they do and believes in the mission of Claddagh Creative.

But here's the most incredible part—they are not just experts in their fields; they are amazing people. When we come together for brainstorming sessions, strategy meetings, or even just casual catch-ups filled with Anna's dog pictures or Aiden's Pokemon obsession, the energy is indescribable. 

We are a diverse group, each with our unique ideas and perspectives on marketing. And it's this diversity that has been the driving force behind our success.

I can say with absolute certainty that Claddagh Creative wouldn't be where it is today without the infusion of fresh perspectives and the decision to hire individuals who excel in their areas. As much as I would have wanted to do it all- the truth is, it was holding me back.
